Trading in Frankfurt...

In January I had a great start to the year. My talented associate Antonia Maedal and I exhibited and sold work at Heimtextil interior textile design trade fair as Woven Ink. Dealing with an international market was exciting, the experience taught me so much. I made  some great contacts and spoke with various press visitors from glossy magazines.

Fabric Commission, Look Mum No Hands Cafe

I was thrilled when Look Mum No Hands bicycle repair shop/ café on Old street London asked me design and upholster fabric for their seating area. I had so much fun patterning various bicycle motifs on the computer. Though these designs are digitally printed I believe they hold a hand printed quality. I drew inspiration from vintage cycle posters. I’ve had lots of lovely feed back and comments from cycle people and design lovers alike.

Lovely Remarks

Thank you to Mark Whitfield for his lovely remarks on my cushion covers at Look Mum No Hands cafe.

Masters Show Chelsea College of Art and Design

Here are some images of my final show at Chelsea. I believe my passion for silk-screen printing was fully executed in this work. I am a designer who is focused on sustainability especially in my industry; I used reclaimed leather for this piece. The wall area was 367 X 245 and comprised of 30x30 leather tiles that were individually hand printed.  I extended the work out onto the floor to suggest an additional function.  I designed these tiles in mind for a café / bar interior clad.
